The Case is a much easier steamer than the Port Huron. All of the patterns from the Port Huron Company have been saved along with the build sheets, etc. Steam is very exciting and interesting. I have enjoyed collecting, showing, and talking steam for many years. There has been a lot of discussion about safety and steam. I want to state that any respected steam engineer knows his equipment and what the steal is saying. Man and machine are a marvelous combination.

My great-great-grandad had one and it killed him the very day he took possession of it (see Brandon Sun, Monday Sept. 23-rd 1903), either bridge he was driving it on collasped or they drove it off the bridge. He and the fireman were trapped under the engine for two days untill their bodies were recoverd. The pocket watch he wore was restored only ninety-one years later (an 1881 11-jewel Waltham PS Bartlet) and I am hoping to qualify as steam engine engineer this may at the Austin agricultural museum. As for the engine, I am told she was sold logging concern working in Turtle Mountain, Manitoba around 1936.

Have several old Sears Garden Tractors, One Small Old Case front end Loader and just bought an old Yazoo lawn mower. No manuals or information from the seller so I was just looking around. kevin russell wrote on Sunday, December 05, 1999 (PST):i am a member of the st. clair co. farm museum. we have two steam traction engineson site. a baker 21/75 engine and a port huron engine also. icurrently operate the baker, i have never had more fun and thrills running the engine. her name is ol,betsy. we call her the sleeping giant too. i cant wait to wake the giant in the spring. the fire is built and i wait for her to build steam oil all drives and pinnions and go for a run..... its great fun to belt her up to our port huron thresher too. we also run her on the baker fan too. we now have a port huron saw mill complete and hope to have it setup for summer operation... could any one write back? share some comments? just call me steam!! ha ha!! 12/5 /99.
