I frigged around and started it in gear and went back and forth in the driveway, and finally it freed. Today, (2 wks later) the clutch won't engage again. I drove up the road about a mile all the time riding the clutch and trying to pop it. Nothing freed it up. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to solve my problem? Any help will be appreciated. I sold another 2000 OFFSET in Sept 2002 to a ford tractor collector/dealer and he said he had never seen one before. The 2000 I sold was serial number 74668 which is only 4 digits off my current 2000. They were built 1 day apart. It would be interesting to know how many 2000 OFFSET's are still around.

  • I have a 1963 ford 2000 offset. It is still in use today, but not as a row crop tractor. I initially used it to clear 4 acres out of 20, using a boxblade. It dug a full basement for my house to set on (28 by 50), I had to wait for the bluprints to get fininshed so I had time on my hands, it took 3 months off and on. I use it now to keep trails clear on the rest of the 20 acres, and remove small trees and do some clearing. I dont believe this tractor has refused to do anything that I asked it to. It still amazes me with its durability and strenght, I cannot say enough about it, I would consider selling it if it would bring a GOOD price, but would hate to see it go, it has been a good reliable friend.
