It sat outside (tarped) all winter, and two weeks ago I started it up and when I depressed the clutch nothing happened. I frigged around and started it in gear and went back and forth in the driveway, and finally it freed. Today, (2 wks later) the clutch won't engage again. I drove up the road about a mile all the time riding the clutch and trying to pop it. Nothing freed it up. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to solve my problem? Any help will be appreciated. I sold another 2000 OFFSET in Sept 2002 to a ford tractor collector/dealer and he said he had never seen one before. The 2000 I sold was serial number 74668 which is only 4 digits off my current 2000. They were built 1 day apart. It would be interesting to know how many 2000 OFFSET's are still around.

k.p. tolbert wrote on Saturday, October 26, 2002 (PDT): I have a 1963 ford 2000 offset. It is still in use today, but not as a row crop tractor. I initially used it to clear 4 acres out of 20, using a boxblade. It dug a full basement for my house to set on (28 by 50), I had to wait for the bluprints to get fininshed so I had time on my hands, it took 3 months off and on. I use it now to keep trails clear on the rest of the 20 acres, and remove small trees and do some clearing. I dont believe this tractor has refused to do anything that I asked it to. It still amazes me with its durability and strenght, I cannot say enough about it, I would consider selling it if it would bring a GOOD price, but would hate to see it go, it has been a good reliable friend.

I have the tractor in my garage at home. Have started to work on removing it to replace3 it. Ran into a problem and need help. Have removed the outside cover on the engine, and trying to get the old one. What do I need to do to get the old one out and the new one in? Have taken the altinator off and have 5 bolts on the water pump out at the top. I need help to know what to do next. Does the radiator need to be remove. Have removed the altinator. Will I hsve ro remore anythimg moe at the spesent tike. Beem on the all afternoon and most of this morning. Help..
