  • my great grandfather had a bull tractor. i have a letter from the company cograndulating him for his wise desion on buying it and i also have a owners manual which desribes how to maintain the tractor. my uncle said they cut it up in a ww ii scrap drive

  • The Bull Tractor Company was located in Minneapolis Minnesota. The Bull listed for 585. Motor was 10hp drawbar 7 guaranteed 25hp belt 20 guaranteed . It had Direct drive with only 4 gears.

  • This is the story of the Bull Tractor as told me by Charlie, whose father purchased one in l912. They lived 10 miles south of town. "We got work that our Bull was on the loading dock in town. So we hitched the mules to the wagon and went to town to get our Bull. "I wanted to drive the Bull (Charlie was 14 years old at the time), but dad said, 'No, Charlie, I'll drive the Bull. You take the mules, but don't run away from me.' "Seven miles out of town the front wheel fell off. We got the Bull hung on to the wagon and drug it on home with the mules. When we got it repaired, we decied to plow a small field north of the homestead. We plowed about two acres, and the engine quite. We cranked and cranked and could not get it started. Dad got in touch with the company and the company sent a man out to our farm. He checked the engine and told dad it was worn out, and we needed a new engine. And, of all things, dad ordered a new engine. That installed, we started to plow again. This time we plowed about three acres when the engine quit. Again we cranked and cranked, but it would not start. I could see dad was getting sore. Finally he said, 'Charlie, go home and get the mules.' With the mules hitched to the Bull we drug that Bull out of the field into the windbreak right north of the homestead." To this I add that I remember seeing that Bull stand there in the windbreak in my childhood and in my teenage years, when I worked for Charlie. I am now 90 years old
