  • Silver King Tractor For Sale. Real basket case. tractor hasn't ran since late 70's, water got into exhaust, froze motor, dad took motor off, thought it would be a good project, hasn't touched it since. tractor is in pieces, some inside some out, has a front blade/plow with frame and duell rear wheels, had side PTO wheel, From looking at pictures on the web, it has the smooth rear fenders of a R38 but kinda looks like a 42, its a wide front end, has got headlights like yellow one in of the photos on silverkingtractors.com , seat and steering wheel are rusted off, this thing is just growing roots at dad's hunting cabin in Western New York. Most likely, looking for someone to take complete/total tractor. i don't really want to get into parting it out. E-mail if interested, ronp at broadviewnet.net

  • The "Plymouth" tractor was first built in 1934, the name was later changed to Silver King,in 1935. Walter Chrysler had just introduced his automobile Plymouth, in 1928 and was not to happy with a tractor with the same name,Altho it's not known whether the name change was forced upon them?? The Plymouth car was very good with hydraulic brakes for and economy car in the 1930's to bad the name is sceduled to be dropped from the Chrysler line in 2001 model year. The Plymouth tractor remains a very rare collectable tractor today, with the Silver King being more commonly found.

  • I am the proud owner of a 4 wheel 1937 model R-44, (the "R" stands for rubber tired, and the numbers are the tire width). "She" has been restored in and out, but is not all original, has traction bars and weight brackets to play in 2500# antique class. Unfortunately there is very little info on Plymouth or Silver King tractors to be found on the web just yet, but you can contact the Silver Kings collectors club by mail; Silver Kings of Yesteryear, 4520 Bullhead Road, Willard, Ohio 44890

  • My father may have the smaller brother of this tractor. It also was made by Fate-Root-Heath, but it actually carries the "Plymouth" marque. It's about a 1932, still on original rear rubber, and has a Hercules engine. We've been trying to find info on his, and yours may be the best lead-in I've come across.
